Re: Google Chrome

Behold people! The showstopper has arrived. Ooopssy…I think I went over the top.

I just used the Chrome and it is so refreshing to see a change. Quite frankly, I was bored with using Firefox again and again and again. The streamlined browser has speed and endurance. It offers a strapping integrated search and has proven the claim made by Google that it would indeed be a success. The hype has been justified. It is available for download on both Windows Vista and Windows XP. Those who use the Mac and the Linux will have o wait for some time as Google is still in the development stage for them. The browser has been designed to automatically sense the current browser that the user is using and it will immediately prompt the user to install it.

When the installation is finished, Chrome will import all the bookmarks that the user has made along with all the passwords and different settings. The browser gives the concept of using the web a different dimension. I might be saying this because I used it for the first time or that I might have been mesmerized by the features that the browser offers. But I found it to be very compelling. I had to really push hard to stop myself from browsing for long hours. I just could not take my eyes off it.

The best part in it which has also been mentioned in the above comment is that the layout has been kept very simple. The user also gets the privilege of setting up his/her own home page and the user can also start surfing with the website that has been visited the most number of times, a facility which the Chrome provides. Chrome makes things easy for users. The browser opens up a shortcut to any page or web application. Since the browser is a baby of Google, intense search comes as an integral part of Chrome. Google has also added new features to Chrome to make the search easier. Just think of it. A search engine launching a browser, doesn’t get better than this.

One final judgment from my side: I found the Google Chrome to be a highly user friendly browser which is perfect for handling normal browsing actions and is also powerfully equipped to accommodate the needs of users who are more into advanced research. The web browser is certain to take Google’s image to new heights.

Now I see that some time ago you guys had started a discussion on Google Chrome. Now let me tell you guys that I have used Chrome and it is completely screwed up… Mozilla Firefox is much better in terms of usability and Chrome does not come anywhere near to it… re was all this hype surrounding Chrome before its release with people saying that Chrome would be the next blockbuster. It is fake. When I started using Chrome I felt so uncomfortable that I immediately switched onto Firefox.

Google is only good as a search engine but not as a browser. I don’t k about this ‘extraature’ thing t those guys claimed that they would offer. It is more or less a modified version of Firefox with a few features of its own, but still nothing exceptional and unique. I am very disappointed and I would recommend that no one amongst you should download Chrome or buy it and use.. The tab system that Mozilla brought out with the Firefox is still the best and still if people feel like experimenting, then I would suggest that they download the latest version of Firefox, that is the Firefox 3.

I found that to be very slow on my computer and highly incompatible. In fact even the obsolete Internet Explorer seems to be better in comparison to this latest ‘disaster’ Google. god, if it had not been for my technologically advancd son, I would have certainly contracted a Trojan and would have been done once and for all. :x
