Top keyword positions dropped on Google

Postby gavismaximus on Mon Jun 16, 2008 3:37 pm

Hi,

My website has been sitting stably on the top keyword results for the last 12 months for varies accommodation & travel keywords.

Last week all of a sudden I am not showing up for any off these keywords at all. My traffic is 1/10th of what it was.

Anyone know of a Google algorithm update or something?

Any help please? I’m really desperate at this point.

Have you done any major changes to your website?

I implemented a new layout on my website several months ago; I changed all the file names as well which took Google a couple weeks to re-index the whole website.

During this time I noticed a big drop in Search engine traffic.

Your websites probably poorly designed or whatever your selling is rubbish. People go to your website, and don’t find anything that appeals to them so they exit quickly. My website has a bounce rate of 35-45%. An average bounce rate will be between 45%-55%.
